About ShortDramaCost
Hands-on pricing, coin costs and cancellation guides for short-drama apps
What we do
We test short-drama apps and write down what they cost. That is the whole publication. These apps are marketed around free episodes, and the cost only becomes clear after you have already invested an evening in a series — so the useful thing to publish is the pricing structure, the free-tier limits, and the renewal terms, explained before someone reaches the paywall rather than after.
How we test
- We install the app and watch through the free episodes to find where the paywall actually starts.
- We open the in-app store and record coin pack prices and subscription tiers by hand, on the date we publish.
- We check which store holds the subscription, so the cancellation instructions we give are correct.
- We test on both iOS and Android where the app supports both, because pricing and subscription handling can differ.
- We score each app on content quality, interface, monetisation pressure, language handling and device coverage — and we publish the weaknesses, not just the strengths.
How we handle pricing data
Prices in this category change often, and every site covering it is quoting figures that go stale. We mark every price table with either the date it was verified inside the app, or an explicit notice that it has not been verified yet. When a table says verification is pending, treat it as a starting point and check the app before you buy.
We do not accept payment from app publishers for a score, a ranking position, or a favourable write-up, and we do not publish sponsored reviews.
How we make money
Some links on this page are affiliate links. If you sign up through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never affects our scores or what we write.
This is the only revenue model on the site. It is why we are explicit about the trade-offs in every recommendation — a site that only ever recommends things is not useful to anyone, and readers stop trusting it quickly.
Who writes this
Everything on ShortDramaCost is written and tested by marluola.
Installs short-drama apps on both an iPhone and an Android phone, watches through the free episodes to find where the paywall actually starts, and records the in-app coin pack and VIP prices by hand on the day each guide is published.
The testing is done on an iPhone and an Android phone, and it started in October 2026. Both platforms are checked because prices and subscription handling genuinely differ between them — a coin pack that costs one price in the App Store is often a different price in Google Play, and a review that only quotes one of them is only half useful.

What this site is not
We would rather say this plainly than have you find out later:
- We only publish full reviews for apps we have something to say about. A handful of apps appear in the ranking table with no review page, because we have not tested them closely enough to fill one. We leave them as names rather than publishing a page padded out with guesswork.
- We do not cover cracking, modded APKs, or free-coin generators. Those exist, they are widely searched for, and they are a route to account bans and payment fraud. Recommending them would cost you money, so we do not.
- A price table is only true on the date printed on it. This category changes its pricing constantly. Where a table has not been checked in the app yet, the page says so instead of filling the gap with a confident-looking number.
- We are not affiliated with any app publisher. See the trademarks note below.
Corrections
If a price has changed or a link is wrong, tell us and we will fix it. We would rather be corrected than be wrong.
